The challenge

What we walked into.

Thai fans are obsessive about football, but the global fantasy games ignore their league. Local attempts stalled on the boring part: reliable player data, live scoring and a game that stays fair when a match feed hiccups.

A fantasy game also lives or dies on the weekly loop. If scores land late or a rule feels arbitrary, the league chat goes quiet and the season is over before it starts.

A fantasy game is not a website. It is a weekly ritual that has to work every single matchday.

How we built it

The approach.

  1. Step 1

We rebuilt the concept from Golden 11 into a product designed around one thing: the matchday loop, from squad deadline to final whistle.

  2. Step 2

We wired in league data and scoring rules, with checks that catch bad feeds before they reach a single player's points total.

  3. Step 3

We designed for phones first, because the squad gets picked on the way to work and checked at half time.

  4. Step 4

We built private leagues and social mechanics so fans bring their own friends, which is where the retention actually comes from.

  5. Step 5

We worked alongside the league so the game feels official rather than bolted on from the outside.

What we took away

Lessons that travel.

  • Fairness is a technical problem: one wrong data feed costs more trust than a month of marketing buys back.

  • Social mechanics beat features. People stay for the league with their friends, not for the interface.

  • Working with the league beats competing with it.
